NOTICE

CHANGE IN OPENING HOURS

Please note that, due to the ongoing high temperatures and in order to protect the health and well-being of visitors and staff, the Rocca Sanvitale Museum will observe the following opening hours: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM (every day except Tuesday - the Museum's closing day). 

This change will take effect from Saturday, August 8 and will remain valid until further notice.

  • Guided tours at 9:30 AM / 11:00 AM / 12:30 PM - possibility of self-guided visits on the ground floor and in the Parmigianino room 
  • On Sundays and holidays, guided tours depending on attendance - possibility of self-guided visits on the ground floor and in the Parmigianino room


We apologize for any inconvenience and thank everyone for their understanding.


OPENING HOURS OF THE ROCCA SANVITALE MUSEUM

From November to March

  • Weekdays (except Tuesday) open from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm (guided tours at 10:15 am, 11:45 am, 2:45 pm, 4:00 pm - free visits on the ground floor and in the Parmigianino Room. Ticket office closes at 4:30 pm).
  • Sundays and holidays open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (Guided tours depending on attendance - free visits on the ground floor and in the Parmigianino Room. Ticket office closes at 5:00 pm).

From April to October

  • Weekdays (except Tuesday) open from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6:30 pm (guided tours at 10:15 am, 11:45 am, 2:45 pm, 4:00 pm, 5:15 pm - free visits on the ground floor and in the Parmigianino Room. Ticket office closes at 5:30 pm).
  • Sundays and holidays open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (Guided tours depending on attendance - free visits on the ground floor and in the Parmigianino Room. Ticket office closes at 5:00 pm).

In April and May also open on Tuesdays.


  • Access to the furnished rooms on the main floor is only allowed with a guided tour.
    For individual visitors, reservation is recommended at Fontanellato ticketshop socioculturale.
    Reservation is mandatory for groups and school groups at rocca@fontanellato.org.
  • The museum is closed on December 24 and 25 and on the morning of January 1.


  • Please note that for the proper preservation of the floors, strollers are not allowed; for the same reason, dogs may only enter if carried.
