Antiques Market
The antiques market of Fontanellato takes place every third Sunday of the month around the Rocca Sanvitale, in the historic center and along the arcades. It is one of the most important and prestigious markets in Northern Italy, present for twenty years in the established circuit of antiques fairs. About 300 exhibitors offer everything that can fascinate an enthusiast of antiques or vintage items. The most valuable objects at the antiques market are guaranteed by certification. Among the most sought-after items are old Paris-style figurines, unique Limoges pieces, late 19th-century ceramics, and Belle Époque pieces from the early 20th century, collectible prints depicting series of art cities beloved by the Grand Tour of the late 18th century. And still, everything that can fascinate an enthusiast of antiques or vintage: furniture, paintings, toys, clocks, optical instruments, radios; silverware, jewelry and precious items, books, prints, coins, old magazines, irons, collectible keys, antique linens, and even ship furnishings, sacred art objects. Also interesting, for its variety and offerings, is the vintage section with objects of various kinds.
Rocca e Natura Market
“Rocca e Natura” is a market-exhibition scheduled to take place every fourth Sunday of the month around the Rocca Sanvitale, in the historic center. Hobbyists, master craftsmen, ceramicists, raku and blown glass artists display their works. There are countless curiosities: for example, you will find photo albums, precious stones, sachets for essences, decorated tablecloths and cushions, candles and centerpieces, mirrors and umbrella stands, headphones and hats, bracelets and earrings with curious shapes. Alongside original items to give as gifts or to decorate your home or office, there will be stands with organic local products: cheeses, honey and jams, organic fruit, aromatic breads, mushrooms, and many other delicacies. Merchants, farmers, and artisans display only certified organic products.
